FAQ
Is my exhaust compatible?
DB Silencer is compatible with most motorcycles and exhaust systems, provided there is a suitable section of mid-pipe where it can be professionally installed.
Before ordering, send us clear photos of your mid-pipe from several angles. Our team will confirm the compatibility, material, and correct size for you.
Stainless steel or titanium?
The material of your DB Silencer must match the material of the exact pipe section where it will be welded, not necessarily the material of the muffler or slip-on.
Stainless steel pipe → Choose the 316L stainless steel model.
Titanium pipe → Choose the Grade 2 titanium model.
Stainless steel and titanium cannot be welded directly together. If you are unsure about the material, send us clear photos and we will confirm it for you.
Which size should I choose?
DB Silencer is available in the following sizes:
316L stainless steel: 51 mm, 60 mm, and 63 mm.
Grade 2 titanium: 51 mm and 63 mm.
The correct size is determined by the outside diameter of the exact mid pipe section where the DB Silencer will be installed. For the most accurate measurement, use a caliper.
If you are unsure, send us clear photos and we will show you exactly where to measure.
What’s inside the box?
Your package includes:
• 1 × Electric DB Silencer in the size and material selected
• 1 × Standard silver aluminum control button
• 1 × Handlebar mount with a 2-meter-long cable
Optional: Add the black Grade 2 titanium DB Stealth button for an additional $25.
How long does delivery take?
Most orders arrive within 7–15 business days, depending on the destination and local delivery service.
Free worldwide shipping is included, and orders are dispatched the next business day.
Delivery times may occasionally be affected by customs, public holidays, or local carrier delays.
How do I install it?
DB Silencer must be installed by a professional TIG welder.
The installer cuts the mid pipe at the most suitable location, positions the DB Silencer, and TIG welds it securely into place.
The wiring connects directly to the motorcycle battery, while the control button can be mounted on the handlebar or discreetly installed within the bike’s bodywork, depending on the rider’s preference.
Installation usually takes approximately 1–2 hours, depending on the motorcycle and exhaust system.
Installation is paid separately to the installer and is not included in the product price.
Once your package arrives, you can contact one of our professional DB Centers to schedule your installation.
How much does the DB Silencer reduce the exhaust sound?
With the valve closed, DB Silencer can reduce the exhaust sound by up to 50%.
The exact result depends on the bike, exhaust system, pipe diameter, catalytic converter, and installation location.
Can I ride with the valve closed?
Yes. You can switch between the open and closed positions while riding.
The closed position is designed for quiet riding at low to mid RPM, such as in neighborhoods or during relaxed city riding.
Always open the valve before high RPM or aggressive riding to avoid excessive back pressure.
With the valve open, your exhaust returns to its original sound and airflow.
Do I need to remap the ECU after installation?
No. Installing the DB Silencer itself does not require any ECU remapping or tuning.
The system operates independently from the motorcycle’s ECU.
Any tuning required because of other engine or exhaust modifications should be assessed separately.
Is the DB Silencer water- and heat-resistant?
Yes. DB Silencer is manufactured from premium 316L stainless steel or Grade 2 titanium and is engineered to withstand extreme exhaust temperatures.
The system is rated IP65, making it resistant to dust, rain, and road spray.
It is not designed for complete submersion or direct high pressure washing.
